Embr(ace) The ACE "Get Involved"
Adverse Childhood Experiences are a public health crisis. ACEs Matter is dedicated to bringing awareness, education, and access to professional resources for to those that have been affected by childhood adversities.
As a society, we must Embr(ace) the adult ACEs in order to prevent the risk of generational neglect, abuse, and household disharmony. At the beginning and end of the day, adults living with unhealed trauma risk hurting their children and others around them.
ACE scores are like time capsules of the past and looking glasses into the future. An ACE score is a number that says you have a story. Understanding your score has the potential to mold an even better version of yourself and those within your reach
The original ACE study screened 17,337 adults living in the Southern California area. By Race category, of those screened,

- 4.5% were Black (approx. 780 people)
- 7.2% were Asian/Pacific Islander (approx. 1,248 people)
- 11.2% were Hispanic (approx. 1,941 people)
- 11.2% were other (approx. 398 people)
